If someone has had pretty good fertility for years any minimalist type fertilizer program (like these guys sound like they sell) will look good for a couple years until the nutrients fall off a cliff. See the same thing with some of these waste lime products that people think have all this nutrients in them and then they find out the hard way it isn't nearly the same as tried and true fertilizers.
