Hopefully you put on more than 25lbs per acre? Without looking, I'd guess that mix to 7-8lbs/1000sqft or 300lbs/acre

A cultipacker is the cats meow and I always shake my head when people drag a harrow to cover seed. It'll bury some too deep and make it grow up in wider rows. Depending on the soil conditions after cultipaking, I'll sometimes use a sand drag but that's it. All that does is barely remove the lines from the cultipacker.

If the Sept. 1st stuff isn't up by now, it won't really get any better. I'm sure it's got weeds in it too. I'd catch it early in the spring when the bare soil is still soft and fluffy, overseed and run the cultipacker over it. It'll get some pushed into the soil. Then about 2 weeks after germination, fertilize it with a slow release fertilizer. If you want the weeds gone, you'll have to wait until middle of May at the earliest to spray.
