NE MO | Depends on your dirt. We spread 10’s of thousands of tons annually. In our area, I recommend no more than 2 ton/acre on no till. If the ground is going to be worked and incorporated, I’ll do more depending on tillage methods. If it’s going to get ripped, I’ve spread 5-6 ton/acre. The consistency of the lime makes a difference to. Smaller the granular, the faster it’ll break down and incorporate into the soil. Regardless, you don’t want the top layer being too high ph without and locking up nutrients from going to root. | |
