Is there any use for the residue, such as bedding?
Residue is worthless for bedding unless there's absolutely no other option.
My experience here is that on a bu/acre basis winter canola will yield about 60-65% of winter wheat. Canola is not as winter hardy. Last year mine all winter killed. Meanwhile I was worried about my wheat but it came through just fine. |
