Good morning , letting you know the weather in Hamilton wasn't too good for growing beans. My question is about your population, is that what is recommended? What I buy from local company is all at 31 up, but they do flex. If I get 200 bu/ac on my ground, it's a really good year. Just thinking about doing a population plot, just dropping down to where your at and try some. If you are every up this way let me know.

Hey how are you doing! I don't get back to Hamilton much since the inlaws moved to Missouri.

Burrus recommends different pops for the different numbers on different type ground.

Most of my ground is better off with lower pops most years. Really like to plant true FULL flex hybrids like the 8A16.

This may be one of my best corn years. If not record on a lot of fields it would be close to records.

We don't break the 200 mark very often.

I did a population study a few years ago and 24k was the most profitable. Only problem with dropping 24k is if the weather turns bad after planting and only get 15k and need to replant. If we drop closer to 30K might have enough plants.
