East central Iowa | Panasonic is known for its "Inverter" technology, which provides a more advanced and consistent form of variable power than traditional on-off cycles. This technology delivers a constant stream of cooking power at lower settings, resulting in more even heating and better cooking results for delicate foods compared to standard microwaves that use a pulsed power method.
Other microwaves blast food with a full power blast, then shut off for some percent of the cycle. That full power blast often incinerates edges of some foods and often doesn't evenly heat the food.
The Panasonic can be set at a percent of power for a period of time that results in more even heating. We've experience a lot better results setting food in the Panasonic for 10 minutes at 20% power than using the old microwave with it's on full power off cycling.
Kind of like sitting next to a fire for ½ an hour vs sticking you hand in the fire every 30 seconds for ½ and hour. |
