East Central Arkansas | Try doing a search of AgTalk post I have made over the years on bedding ground. Should be able to find several post and pictures of how we did things. Lots of questions asked and input from myself and others that bed ground. One thing I will say is one needs a pto ditcher here and drains cur across beds any where water can stand . For me that meant having water furrows across the low end of all fields. Bedded ground here is normally furrow irrigated and that is one of the main reasons for bedding. Yes the beds do help getting crops established when we have early season flooding rains but fields that you can't irrigated the crop can suffer when it gets dry and we miss rains. | |
