Rye ot triticale chop for silage in spring for the drylot cows, then plant corn behind it usually avg 210-215corn yet. So got cheap feed plus decent corn for cashflow yet. If run numbers it take 285-300 bpa corn of 1 time corn crop to match it money wise. Plus the small grain in-between really helps weed control and rootworm pressure. No brainer. Wish could do it on every acre. | |
