you should make sure that the torque rating of the stud is meant for lubricant such as that. A dry joint torque rating vs lubricated is going to apply significantly more force when lube is applied. It can also effect the holding ability.

I get it for many things, but aluminum rims on vehicles I would watch to a higher degree than a trailer steel or tractor steel rim.
