I’m not a cattle producer but I watched trumps comments on beef. All this did is prove to me two things.
1. The government really does control our prices up and down
2. The government wants to keep producers from profiting too much.
Guys, let’s face it. Farming will be a poor occupation until we band together and overthrow the government.
Food is the most important thing in the economy- everyday life. If we overtake the government, we will be paid fairly.
Disclaimers- I voted for trump 3 times in my life because there truly was no one else to vote

1. Government can influence prices. They do not dictate cash price of cattle. Prices are still agreeded upon by everyday human beings. The market is simply trying to price in the negative ( or positive) volatility in at a future date of time. Pretty simple really.
2. Your actively calling for the overtake of our current government? And replace it with what?? You want farmers to run the other 98% of government that has nothing to do with agriculture? This kind of talk provides nothing of value and you should strive to add meaningful content, not fear mongering.
3. The amount of comments I've read on social media make it sound as if we're all back in the poor house after a 2.44% drop in a day. Good grief, I hope everybody buys lrp tomorrow, as I'd hate to see the melt down if we drift 10% lower. |
