Nash County, NC | The brands are part of the problem. I carried a pickup to the dealer one time. It was $150 to diagnose the problem. They determined the problem was a $600 part. They replaced it. They didn’t solve it. They then told me I needed an $800 part.
When I went to settle up I told them I paid $150 for diagnostics. Their initial diagnosis didn’t solve the problem so that was on them. They said well we only did what the book called for. I said ok, send the bill to the book.
I called corporate. Long story short, corporate and the dealer pretty much said I could pay for the repairs or let the truck set there. The $150 fee didn’t guarantee they knew how to fit it. I said, you know, I could have swapped parts until the problem was solved myself | |
