| We crop 3k acres and don’t have a place for cows. Hard to use several acres per pair of 10-15k per ac land for cows. Yea I know with intense management it can be done and profitable. I for 1 agree with some posters. That it can be done successfully in the yard. I haul my cows 60 miles to grass. And most years I think it would be much simpler to keep them home year round. But I do think it’s better for cow and calf health to get out on grass so I keep doing it that way. But might not in the future. | |
