I hit it with a disk only because if I don't the trash will float into piles if we get a heavy rain. If time allows before end of the year I'll hit it again with the field cultivator and plant corn straight into the stale seedbed. It's the only way to grow corn on the heavy black gumbo soils in my area. Others will chisel or rip it and then try to put nh3 on it in the spring, nothing but a mess.
