| Well it's been discovered that "beef prices are not were we want them"
Maybe the economy is starting to become an issue...
So I hate to say...they need the prices to fall fairly fast...even if we would retain all the heifers...have a loan program to help with expenses (replace income lost by not selling) and perhaps allowing crp to be grazed...this would take at least a couple years..
We need lower prices now....doubt if coupons could be used...perhaps a direct payment to processors...so wholesale cost lower...do you think they would share with cow/calf.
So the only thing left...that could happen fairly rapid and have no gov outlay cost is imports...open the doors for other countries to sell beef here. ....maybe Argentina????
