Subject: Fall tillage soybean ground?

In my area soybean ground normally chisel plowed, field cultivator ÎF not a lot of *trash* But since NH3 is not as available. Field cultivation becoming common.
So I was surprised to see almost everyone using Á aggressive disc/chisel, or sub soil machine.
Is that widespread? More for soil compaction?
I am thinking disc-o-vator. Wider each pass, less fuel, time then disc/chisel. I think too much *trash* for springtooth. Could do disc.
So what is common elsewhere?
