Decker MI | We would normally apply 10,000 gal per acre of manure. And I would say its good manure to not just water. After wheat we put a cover crop of radish clover mix usually. So This field produced 31 ton per acre corn silage this year with 10,000 gal fall applied manure and 150 lb ams preplant and 3 gal per acre QLF 7-21-3 in furrow then 2 gal QLF Boost with herbicide app and 3 gal Boost again with 17 gal of 28% streamed on at about V6-V7. It yields well but it is so tight water will just lay on it. The soil type is pretty consistent across the field ,sandy loam. Our rotation is typically Corn, Drybeans, Corn, Wheat, Sugarbeets. | |
