I’ve always thought Yield monitors with mapping should have been given to every “progressive” farmer in the Midwest by the National association of tile installers and salesman. Yield monitors maps have given me the confidence to increase tile on rented farms even without long term leases.

I also commonly use my to monitor moisture and bushel totals when filling bins or running the dryer.

Our tile contractor told me when yield monitors first came out, “ everybody thinks monitors will sell tons of lime, what they sold was tons of tile for me to install !”
