Pittsburg, Kansas | I'm one of them. Type II diabetic 7 years ago taking four shots of insulin totaling 100 units daily and some oral meds. To zero insulin shots within two weeks and off all diabetes meds within a month then was able to stop blood pressure meds in another month or two. All by cutting out most of the carbohydrate foods in my diet. Reversed type II diabetes. Lost a hundred pounds of fat in the process. No more arthritis pains. A list of other improvements in my health.
My wife and I originally did the diet because we were sick of being so fat. What it ended up being is we got healthy then the fat came off naturally from being more healthy. The body can better regulate its weight if given the chance. We did not go hungry. Always ate as much as we wanted. Just chose better foods to eat then satiety took care of the amount we ate.
Will be seven years come this February that I reversed my type II diabetes and got off prescription medication for it. This is after being diabetic for about 35 years, the last 20 or so being insulin dependent. IN TWO WEEKS. By diet change alone. A disease that is incurable and only gets worse. And that is completely true if conventional medical and diet advice is followed.
