| I doubt that Trump personally knows or cares what he is spending on a meal. However the midterm elections are coming up in a year and undoubtedly his staff is tracking issues. Beef has risen quite a bit, so it is an easy target for discussions about inflation and grocery costs. Like every president before him he likely has no clue on the actual reasons we have the smallest cowherd in over seventy years. Or that government farm programs are a large part of the reason. Importing more beef will simply give producers another reason not to expand. | |
