West Central Illinois | If a guy has a lot of extra hay this year I dont see why not keep them and put them in fall herd if you have one to try and rebreed and keep for yourself if they deserve 2nd chanceor sell a bred fall calver. Even if they dont all stick it seems worth the risk. What's a short solid P2 gonna be worth this spring vs. a cull cow right now? Plenty of hay for sale locally thats priced way under cost to make it so I dont see much other ways to market that hay than through a cow. | |
