Subject: RE: Plot yield results

Fontanelle, IA
73 F250 - 10/18/2025 06:21

Planted this plot in the latter half of May around the 17th the exact date slips my mind right now. Planted into a “stale” seedbed. It had been worked for about 10 days at the time.

Fertilizer Program : 4 gallon 10-34-0
4 gallon 28-0-0
2 gallon ATS 12-0-0-26S
Dry Fertilizer : 100lbs AMS spring applied

Nitrogen : 185lbs actual N sidedress NH3 at V2

Chemicals : Kyro 60oz
Atrazine 32oz

Fungicide : Ground Rig 15gal/ac Generic Quilt 14oz, Nano Pro

Weather : Planted into a heavy seedbed after a rain 3-4 days earlier. Right before emergence, had a heavy 1.2” rain that came down hard and fast. Some of the varieties struggled to emerge but all eventually came up. Then it turned cold mid 40s-mid 50s for about a week. Overall wet June-July. Rain shut off August 1st and never got over .5” through middle of September.

Population : 34,800

Some earlier varieties showed Physoderma Brown Spot. Very little tar spot pressure. Some NCLB and GLS. Only a few early varieties exhibited Southern Rust but did not kill the plant prematurely.

****this is not a “juiced” up plot. This plot is what all of our acres receive. Results show real world data on a typical field for the area. I will attach soil map for this field.*****

Is there any correlation to hybrid emergence vs resultant yield in your plot? Ie. Those that struggled to emerge had lower resultant yields? Also, what is that blue Shaded soil type?

Good job!
