We split applied 4 fields, the first application was at brown silk and the second 2 weeks later. We really can’t see much looking at the yield monitor. I’m guessing it might have been a different outcome if we would have gone earlier with the first application.
My opinion from my limited time doing this. To optimize 2 passes, brown silk is too late for the first pass, and 2 weeks apart is too close. I am 21 days apart using the cheap generic quilt. And I try to have drone there about full tassel.
I’m going to try some 3 pass next year on limited acres and do that pass best i can time it 21 days ahead of full tassel. |
