West Central Illinois | I was hoping their response to increase the cow herd in the US was going to be more incentives to convert rough tillable back to grassland. They keep talking about how they want more pollinator/wildlife habitat in this country I don't see how managed grazing with rest periods won't take those acres and accomplish both habitat and more cattle. Walk through an 80 of corn/beans and list how many different wildlife species you see each season of the year, winter/spring/summer/fall. Then go do the same out on pasture. One list is going to be wayyy longer than the other. | |
