Eastern NE KS
My only experience with class actions but I'm surprised and dismayed at settlements/judgement values vs the $19.85 (or less) offered to a single claimant.

While I understand this means the class is huge in number, it seems the only people winning in these deals are the lawyers.

I remember the internal processing costs associated with a single invoice or payment check. In the office these costs were almost ignored because they are the cost of doing business. Well, the these business costs were very close to the individual offers resulting from a class action. In my eyes, almost meaningless.

On the other hand when the judgement is stratospheric to where the individual is seriously made whole, the business simply declares bankruptcy to avoid the stockholders pain. So one again the class action results in a meaningless repair to those hurt.
