| I ran 2 trials Maneuver with 32% in the spring on corn, it was about 18-21 bu better. In soybeans I didn't see a response. I'll put it on every corn acre next year but still looking for something for soybeans.
I've tried ProveN and didn't see much benefit but it sounds like they have a new one that I'll try.
Per the Becks book I tried Stride Bio and it looked better from the start. Maybe 2-4 bu better than just graphite.... but hard to measure it. I'll do more of that. Hopper Throttle didn't show any benefit.
There was one that looked good where I know I have some nematode issues, and it looked good but I can't recall the name.
Yes there are a lot that don't respond on every field, but this space is advancing quickly. I've had 2/3 that I've tried that I don't see any response. But within the 1/3 what I've seen is the spore products are much more successful than the 'live' products.
What I also noticed was where my soil was 'tougher' I saw the largest gains, almost to where I had better soils.
Try some things on your farm, what happens elsewhere may not reflect your results. | |
