NW Indiana | Restitution for the government actions that has harmed agriculture recently is probably the only time ever the government should be sending farmers checks. They are collecting a tax (tariff) that could be used to compensate those directly impacted. Restitution should be paid for the 25 crop but that is not the solution for 2026 and going forward. If we are at war that the administration chose to enter, we should not produce what the enemy no longer wants. For less money we could compensate producers while costing China more. | |
