Southeast Colorado | I was into my regular Doctor.........who's actually a Nurse Practioner.........not a Doctor..........and through our conversation and check up she says that even though I'm not a terrible case now.........I do have reduced lung function. She also says that in our rural area that she works..........she believes that dust/work environment of the local ranchers/farmers she sees is a bigger cause of reduced lung function than tobacco use. By the way............I've got plenty of bad habits...........but I've NEVER smoked a cigarette in the 60 years I've been alive.
So anyway......I don't feel all that bad.........but have chalked up tough breathing at times to just being older and a little out of shape. Now she gives me a sample of Trellegy..........I'm only 3 days into it..........and just learned today that it's $50 each day for a puff!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow!!!!!!!!!
She thinks she can find something much cheaper than that that'll work with my insurance. I hate to get addicted to the stuff..........only to find out I can't afford it. I'd rather not use it at all. But she says if I'd start it now early..........I'd save myself a LOT of trouble down the road. She also says that she can't convince most old farmers to do it. Haha.
Any opinions??
