Alberta | That is a very nice pair. Don't want to be a downer but there is research showing that outstanding cows often have heifer calves that don't match their mother's productivity. It is thought that fat deposits in the calf's udder reduce their milk production as cows.
In my country we are going to find out in a couple of years. We've had the greatest grass year I have seen and our calves are big and fat.
