At 20 years most barns need a fair amount of work so in reality you could be closer to 25 years before you put much in your pocket.

And after 25 years you will need new slats and beams, which will cost at least double what the first ones did.  Better stretch it to 30 years before you pocket enough money to pay for your knee replacement surgeries because you won't quite be on Medicare yet.
