UCO replaces soybean oil in the renewable diesel plant. Its a double kill for soybean prices and meal prices. That's why China does it. Other countries sneak in palm oil too.



China does it because it makes money.

Our governments willingness to throw copious amounts of money at “green recycling” programs made used cooking oil worth more than fresh soybean oil. The Chinese, able to do math, figured out they could buy oil, float a couple of fries in it, and sell it back as UCO profitably.

It’s a government enabled scam transferring money directly from the US taxpayers to the Chinese that should have been ended long ago.
