Trouble is....the "value" of almost every commodity produced from that land has fallen at least the same amount or drastically more. Hence, when the grain cart runs over, many don't even scoop the worthless pile up.
I drove for a 15k acre operation for about two months last winter. Before I started, another driver (one of the family members) turned a loaded truck over 200 yards from the headquarters. Not even one 5 gallon bucket was ever picked up.
