Curious how many on department? Is there more on then roster space or hunting for new blood daily?
25 on staff , 5 that actually go .
We dont look for people , our newest guy is my neighbor a couple miles away . He asked me about it , I told him he had to ask cheif . He passed background check and is on now .
Good guy , I told cheif “ ill put my name on him”
Another fellow , saw me painting hydrant at station , i could see him watching . He saw cheif after a fire we were filling trucks . He said i saw the guy painting the hydrant and working at station , but did not want to ask him .
Cheif said , Tommy is a nice guy , he likes old country LOUD .
Cheif said we will let you see if you like it , ill put you with Tommy . You will like Tommy , hes pretty much laid back , until a fire .
Cheif said all you got to do is watch and dont do stupid things and you will be ok .
Guy never showed up .
Im sure ill catch some lip from this .
