Southern Indiana | When the riverboat casino came to our county around 25 years ago there was a big influx of revenue from gaming. Roads were blacktopped, foundations created, scholarships funded, and money distributed to townships for local projects. There were also many lives ruined. I know and know of a dozen or more people who lost everything, including homes, farms, businesses and wives.
With the online gambling there will be no benefit to the community, only ruined lives and profit to the owners of these businesses.
And you don't even have to leave your couch. | |
