| You can’t afford to pay anyone to do anything. I I can’t anyway. Small farm but I have a stripper, combine, sprayer, hay equipment.
I can make more money harvesting someone else’s crop than growing one myself right now. It’s all cheap equipment but the combine or stripper can make what it’s worth in a good day and has many times. I don’t do a lot of custom haying. Ties up too many tractors and my swather is slow, that stuff is more for personal use but I roll hay until I have what I need for the year on shares and my own stuff. And do just enough custom to pay for maintenance and wrap. I turn down more than I do of hay work.but I am a sucker for an sos bale job when someone has theirs cut and their baler is down. | |
