West Central IA
Get your cow in a yard with water and hay. Feed her night and morning a little grain with 6 aspirin, not tylenol. Get her to the vet and tip her and see just exactly you are working with. If it is a single toe they can block the other toe so there is no pressure on that bad toe when she walks. Do not let them cut the bad one off unless it is actually rotten. Bad feet take some time to heal, but given time you can bring a cow back to health if you do all the above things. There is no withdrawal on aspirin, and the cow will thank you for the relief.

I Had a cow that came up lame on day in early winter. Took her to the vet as soon as I saw her and he could not find anything. took her home and did the feed/aspirin deal and then her foot started to swell up. Had a calf I took to the vet and took her along and still they could not find anything. He thought she may have broken a bone in her foot. Took her back home and keep care for her nad 3 months later walked perfectly and had put on a lot of weight so sent her to town. Again, a stress tub is your friend.
