Want to be the boss, figure out how to influence people around you. When I took over dad I took the time to explain my reasoning, but when it’s his ass on the hook for the money then he gets the say. Now it’s my ass on the hook but I still listen to him because he has 40 years more experience than me. Old dogs are still smart.
My dad doesn’t have any experience farming at all. He basically can drive a tractor pull andhydrous tanks and drive an automatic semi. won’t drive quad trac though haha. But that’s about all he does. Otherwise we tell him what to do. |
