Not really, thats a dick move and you'll just piss him off if you do that!
Ask him to let you run after dark to prove the point one way or the other. If he doesn't want to work after dark, that is fine, but shouldn't be holding you back if you feel up to it. Is your ground really rocky or far from flat? He may be looking at it from an equipment damage standpoint. Easier to run into something in the dark, been there done that!
I will agree with others, haven't run many beans past dark this year. Have run well into the night other times if rain was coming though.
In the end, be as calm and cool with your dad as you can be. Maybe get mom to steer him a bit, works around here sometimes.
Been many times before now that weather didn't look good going forward to cut beans. Somehow they all manage to get cut at some point or another. Relax, they're only worth $10 this year. I'd be more nervous if they were $18!!! | |
