Anderson County Kansas | We have 5 bin sites, around 850 k total storage. We don't have a leg at any of them. We fill them all with 16 inch augers. Personally I would rather spend money on bins then legs. Bins make us more money than anything else on the farm. We don't have time to sit in line or we will never finish harvest. Combines are too expensive to be sitting not running. Also our basis improvement and carry pays for bins, so actually improve efficiency for free. I have a new one going up next week. The elevators are all going to get full around here, and basis at elevators is horrible. | |
