Frederick, Md | My assumption is that it wasn’t put back together with the proper lower sheave gap. You must set the speed as slow as possible, then loosen the 3 bolts that hold the upper sheave bracket to the throat, use the threaded rod and tighten the belt while spinning it by hand to achieve the correct lower sheave gap. I think it is 3/16ths or something like that. (It’s in the manual)
Once it’s adjusted correctly, and the belt is being gripped on the shoulders you should no longer have any issues. | |
