West-Central IL
I planted quite a bit of 7940 this year. (That's the nongmo version)

Probably have at least 250 acres of it next year if they can fulfill the order. Talked with my DM this week and he says it will be very popular because of its excellent health, especially this late summer with the southern rust.

I had two different 160s this year, each planted to 80 of 7940 and 80 of another companies hybrid.
25 bu better on one, 40bu better on the other. To be fair the others were decimated by the rust and this one was not. 1pass fungicide on it all.

At least in our area it will be popular because it stayed so visibly green late compared to almost everything else, and then performed.
