If you can fill your drill quick....I'm confident you can keep pace with a good majority of the guys running 30-40 planters with individual boxes. If you're only getting 60acres a day out of the drill....get that thing moving and sit in the seat some? I can avg 150 easily & 200 if I'm pushing and good running.
As far as yield. Here in NE IA...we've had 30's vs vs 10's many times and never could tell the difference yield wise,and we usually run close the same # of seed/a... So, NO I don't buy the Big saving idea.
