Southeast Colorado | For several years my Mom and Dad owned their childhood homes in southern California after their parents were deceased. Mom just had a management company back there keeping them rented out. Both places were being rented by Section 8 clients. Mom asked the manager if they had illegals renting them........and the manager said that nobody worries much about that stuff. They didn't have time to chase those kind of facts down. She finally wore herself out worrying about the places being torn up and whatnot, so she sold them. But Section 8 paid 90% of the rent..........and the client paid 10%. She collected the money in separate checks..........and the 10% was nearly always late. | |
