NCKS
Location? Our biggest benefit is that corn is instantly worth 25-40 cents more the instant it hits your bin. USUALLY we can gain another 20-30 cents in basis appreciation through the year as well. Beyond that we harvest a lot of corn at 18% which helps with harvest loss and get in field earlier. Carry is nice but Futures is always a gamble and if we were just after futures gains we wouldn't bin. Beans are more hit and miss as 90% of the beans in the county go to 2 crushers. Harvesting clean 14.5% beans right now to bin and put air on few a few days.

Our bin site is centrally located to the bulk of our farm so we can dump there much faster. Saves 1-3 truck drivers depending on location. We still take a lot to town but will build more bins in the future.
