Coles County, Illinois
I've never seen it this dry here. We've gotten an inch of rain total since July 20 in 5 episodes so really none soaked the ground. Yields north of Rte 16 decent. Last time I tried to disk rip dry ground it pulled super hard and was still chunky next spring. Some guys are running VT tools on bean stubble and it's turning into powder that I'm afraid could blow. Any thoughts on this?
