S Illinois | Historically a fetus was seen as property of the father/husband. It wasn’t until as least movement that the mother could feel or even a live birth that a child was consider a life/soul. Way too many miscarriages or children not making it to birth to consider life so early. So no people weren’t put to death for making a woman miscarriag/abort. It’s only with the advancement of modern medicine and understanding of the pregnancy process that the idea of “life” at conception became a thing.
Argue all you want about pro or anti abortion but don’t drag religion into your arguments. | |
