| Extremists on both ends of the spectrum are dangerous. Their attitude becomes much like that circle diagram you posted where the extremists don’t have much left in them other than hate. PO’s posts are generally focused on hatred and I am actually serious when I say he should seek some counselling for it. Living in hatred is a very destructive way to live, both for those around them and the person themselves.
I would say that until Trump came along the extremists on the left side had taken control of the mic and were very intolerant of opinions different than their own. Even the opinion of those very much in the center. As an example (not intended to be another side track) is the gender movement. Rather than simply wanting people to accept that they believe genders is on a spectrum there was a requirement that everyone believe that. That movement was never about people with their beliefs being accepted in society. That movement was about attempting to exclude people who don’t think like them from society. They literally hated anyone that didn’t think like them and were very vocal about it. And they had access to the mic. They cheered and said he had it coming when someone like Charlie got murdered because they didn’t like that he also had a mic.
If we all ignore the process of achieving the end goal I highly suspect that the vast majority of the public have similar goals and that those goals are at least somewhat similar to what Trump is proposing. Many don’t like the road to get there but the desired destination is similar. I agree with you that the two sides are not the two sides we are all fighting for.
