Sask | It's not isolationism when it is reality, it's understanding "free trade" can't possibly exist when we have free money flowing around to manipulate the economy, price of goods and trade flows. And that money created out of thin air is just one leg of the stool. Currency exchange rate is an important leg of the stool also, but not the last one.
Buts that fine, everyone keep ignoring the most basic principles of what makes items in one country be priced different vs another country and thus flow of trade and say the words "free trade" over and over as if that removes reality.
Still not seeing anyone say how exactly we can have "free trade" when currency value determines which way trade flows. And Canada/US is a very good example. 20 year charts of exchange rates are easy to find.
