Nebraska aka the boondocks | Washington doesn’t give a shinola about ag. People get all worked up about their own little world, which is understandable, but the money doesn’t care. Years ago I was talking to a lobbyist from Lincoln, and at the time, school funding was a “hot” topic. He explained to me, although it may seem like it, education doesn’t make the Nebraska unicameral go round…. Washington will consider ag when it becomes politically expedient. Meanwhile monies hundreds and thousands the times of what farmers discuss will be scattered about. |
