| It fair to point out the flaws of capitalism. Guard rails are necessary. Some industries are important to keep state side. I dont fully follow the whole "C suite sold the country" narrative. China does lead the world in global manufacturing. They have 1.4 billion people. Guess who is number 2? The good old sold out and left for dead United States of America with her 340 million people. The rust belt was slow to adapt to the changing world. We still manufacture, but we dont manufacture near as many low value added things. This is capitalism. It does displace people and jobs because it fosters innovation and advancement. It also is focused on ROI and does necessitate some guard rails to look out for the public and employees. Last I checked, capitalism still made us great. Now we are trying something that most would have called a big leap to Marxism not long ago. MP materials may have a great ROI for it's new government equity owner. | |
