I also hope it never happens. I agree with the pride factor but you do not lose efficiency with 1/5 of the equipment. All straight trucks gone. All wagons gone. All 6 row cornheads gone. All bin sights but one gone. All 4020's gone. Every farmer in a nice 3/4 ton pickup gone. Tile laid from creak to creak in 3 mile stretches. Property division lines gone. Etc.

Thats what was done in the Soviet Block countries, it didn’t quite work out like they thought it would. The efficiencies weren’t realized until the land was returned to private control.
